The What’s Important Tool

The What’s Important tool is a crucial part of our Life planning process, offering both you and us a comprehensive view of your life in crucial areas that is important to you.

At FinHub, we believe that achieving your personal and financial goals starts with understanding what truly matters in your life. Our What Is Important Tool, also known as the Wheel of Life, helps you map out your priorities and track your progress over time. This visual tool ensures that your financial plan stays aligned with your evolving values, goals, and life circumstances.

Why the Tool ?

Once, it was all about ‘keeping up with the Joneses’. Today, it’s more about ‘keeping up with the Kardashians’.

It’s easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to what we see on social media. We see others sharing moments of joy and success online, and sometimes we feel pressured to follow in their footsteps, even if it’s not what we really want.

Imagine someone who buys a ski boat, even though they’re not interested in water sports, just because they see an old friend posting photos of their family on the river.

They spend money and time chasing a vision that isn’t aligned with what they really want, often ending up feeling unfulfilled and empty. Why? Because they’ve lost touch with what truly matters to them.

This tool helps you reconnect with what’s truly important to you. By revisiting your core values, you can create a life plan that reflects what brings you real joy, satisfaction, and purpose.

How the Wheel of Life works

Visualize Your Life: The Wheel of Life breaks down different aspects of your life, allowing you to assess your importance and satisfaction levels in each area. By assessing each section, we help you identify where you’re thriving and where there’s room for improvement.

You’ll only select the areas that is important in your life and rate each area on a scale of 1 to 10, first by its importance to you and then by how satisfied you are with it right now.

Prioritize What Matters: Once you’re done, the tool will generate a radar chart that’s unique to you. This visual map will highlight where your priorities lie and show you where you might want to make changes to live a more balanced, meaningful life.

We can then put a plan in place to achieve what it important to you and make sure your money supports that plan. It’s not about perfecting every area of life, but about creating balance and fulfillment. Progress in one area often positively impacts others.

Track Your Progress: We revisit the wheel regularly, adjusting your life and financial plan to reflect changing priorities, helping you stay on track toward your goals.

This tool is more than a one-time exercise; it’s a journey of continuous self-discovery and growth. Each year, we review your Wheel of Life to ensure your plan evolves with you, keeping it relevant, achievable, and realistic.
