Director

Deon started his career in the financial services industry in 1997 when he joined the family business. Initially, he set three personal guidelines: no cold canvassing, obtaining formal qualifications, and partnering with multiple top financial services companies in SA and abroad to offer clients tailored financial solutions for their specific needs. By 2000, he teamed up with like-minded financial advisors to co-founded the Financial Hub. Later, in 2012, the business underwent a rebranding and was renamed to the FinHub Group, as it is known today.

Deon started his academic journey in Financial Information Systems, completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Financial Planning at the University of the Free State, and earned a B.Compt in Financial Accounting from the University of South Africa. Deon proudly holds the esteemed CFP® designation from the Financial Planning Institute and is also a registered Tax Practitioner.

Deon spends his free time with his wife and animals, participating in marathon and trail running, playing golf with friends, and engaging in public speaking.
